Jihea Choi


Jihea Choi serves as a principal for the Apollo Orchestra in addition to performing with the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra as an associate principal. In addition, she performs regularly with the Maryland, Mid Atlantic and National Philharmonic Orchestras. She teaches as an adjunct cello faculty member at Landon School and Potomac School and is trained in Suzuki Method. She received her master of music degree from the University of Maryland, a performer’s certificate from Northern Illinois University, and a bachelor of music degree from Catholic University studying with Robert Newkirk, David Teie and Marc Johnson.
