Internationally acclaimed cellist Zuill Bailey has had an extensive career as a concert soloist, prolific recording artist, chamber musician and festival organizer. He brings all this to a uniquely valuable and tremendously enjoyable conversation with Cellospeak’s Founder , Dorothy Amarandos, recorded in 2010. Revealing an intense inquisitiveness tempered with wit, he shares personal perspectives and insights on how to learn, practice and play the cello to achieve a glorious tone and discover individual expression.

As “Bonus Features,” Bailey performs the Prelude to the First Bach Suite and the Bourrees to the Third Suite on the beautiful 1693 Matteo Gofriller cello formerly owned and played for 30 years by Mischa Schneider of the Budapest String Quartet.
