Lauren Weaver


Ensemble Workshop

In the Washington DC area, Lauren has performed in the National Philharmonic, Maryland Lyric Opera, American Pops, Annapolis Symphony and others. Lauren has performed in the Kennedy Center, Strathmore, Capital One Arena and the National Cathedral. Previously Lauren resided for nearly a decade in New York City, and as a longtime member of the New York Symphonic Ensemble, made eight tours in Japan. Lauren has performed throughout the United States, as well as Europe and Asia. In New York, she performed in Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Madison Square Garden, and others. She made her solo debut at age 17 with the Lancaster Festival Orchestra. 

In addition to performing classical music, Lauren has performed with notable artists Josh Groban, Michael Buble, The Roots, Sigur Ros, Boyz II Men, Idina Menzel, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and others, including TV appearances on NBC, ABC, and PBS. Lauren was cellist for the grammy-nominated “Nine Types of Light” by TV on the Radio.

Lauren has a BM from Manhattan School of music where she studied with David Soyer, and a MM from Mannes College of Music, student of Marcy Rosen. She had chamber music instruction from Isidore Cohen, Sylvia Rosenberg, Michael Tree, and Timothy Eddy.
